We Aim for a High Standard in Education
Albanian International School (AIS) has been proudly serving the community for over 14 years, providing high-quality international education in Albania. Our school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) until 2028, making AIS one of the most trusted and recognized international schools in the country.
AIS welcomes a diverse student body representing many nationalities and cultural backgrounds, creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that enriches the educational experience for every student. With small class sizes and an exceptional student-teacher ratio of 5:1, we ensure personalized attention and support tailored to each child’s unique learning needs.
At AIS, we are committed to fostering academic excellence through a comprehensive American curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards. This curriculum emphasizes the development of critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills essential for success in today’s global society. The Common Core standards are widely adopted across 42 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, several U.S. territories, and numerous international schools worldwide.
Our academic program spans Preschool (ages 3-5) through ninth grade, and aligns with Common Core standards to ensure strong foundational skills, especially in reading and mathematics. To deliver this curriculum effectively, AIS employs highly qualified, American-certified teachers who bring both expertise and passion to the classroom.
Additionally, AIS is one of only two schools in Albania implementing the internationally recognized Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments. We uniquely share these results transparently with parents to support student growth and achievement.
With a dedicated international faculty and a caring community, Albanian International School continues to prepare students to reach their full potential and succeed in higher education and beyond.
