Expected Schoolwide Learning Outcomes
At Albanian International School, we believe that education is about more than academic achievement. Our goal is to develop well-rounded students who are prepared to think independently, communicate effectively, make responsible decisions, and contribute positively to their communities and the wider world.
The Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs) describe the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and qualities that we expect our students to develop throughout their educational journey at AIS. They provide a shared vision for student growth and help guide our teaching, learning, student support, and school-wide experiences.
Our ESLR’s are organized around the EAGLES framework:
E – Emerging Leader
A – Academic Achiever
G – Global Citizen
L – Lifelong Learner
E – Effective Communicator
S – Serve the Community
Together, these six areas reflect our commitment to developing the whole student — academically, socially, personally, and as a responsible member of the school and wider community.
The ESLRs help students understand that success is about more than grades and test scores. They encourage students to develop leadership, academic responsibility, curiosity, communication skills, cultural awareness, and a commitment to helping others. They also provide students with opportunities to reflect on their strengths, recognize areas for growth, and take increasing responsibility for their own learning and development.
The ESLRs provide a common framework for students, teachers, and families, and help ensure that these qualities are intentionally developed throughout a student's experience at AIS.
